App Aloha: An app Review Service (2013)

App Aloha is a project I created in early 2013 as a cross-platform app review service. Energy for App Aloha was diverted after App Gratis was removed from the Apple App Store in April 2013.

The copy for App Aloha is as follows:

We sail the ocean of apps and bring you the fresh catch of the day. Every day is Lei Day with App Aloha.

App Aloha features apps from the App Store for iOS and iMac, Chrome Store Apps for your Chrome Browser, and Google Play apps for your Android devices. We wanted something for everyone and we use both iOS, Android, iMac, and Chrome apps in our daily office life and suspect you may too.

App Aloha features curated and aesthetic apps that are creative, well-made, useful, sexy, and fun.

We sail the ocean of apps and find you the good ones. Then we send them to your phone. One push notification. We also post our reviews here on Facebook every day, as well as on our Tumblr blog.

Your trusty App Wahine (me, Shasta) hand-tests and pre-screens the app stores looking for creative and aesthetically interesting apps to offer you every day.

We only vouch for the apps we would actually use ourselves. We love design. We love ux. We love fun. We love well-made apps, period.

Have a great app you want to tell us about?
